At Cooperativa Cafetalera Capucas Limitada (Capucas) in Honduras, the coffee beans are prepared for decaffeination by being cleaned and hydrated with local water. The decaffeination process uses an internally developed Green Coffee Extract (GCE) to extract caffeine.
This is achieved by balancing the soluble compounds between the GCE and the coffee, followed by continuous filtration through carbon filters. The process is monitored for approximately 10 hours and includes precise control of caffeine levels, time and temperature. This ensures the coffee reaches a 99.9% caffeine-free status.
The Coffeebrewer is an innovative and globally patented coffee product designed as a crossover between French Press and pour-over coffee. Its filter system provides a delicious filter coffee infusion while retaining the rich body and character associated with a classic French Press brew.
